Pastor Ben was born in Durant, Oklahoma.  He spent part of his childhood in Black Diamond, Washington before returning to Oklahoma in his late teens.

In May 2009, Pastor Ben came to Heartland to serve as Youth Minister. In August 2010, he was elected Senior Pastor. His passion is to disciple every person who calls Heartland home, equipping them to impact their city for Jesus.

Pastor Ben loves the outdoors and is an avid collector of antiquarian Bibles and Bible leaves. He enjoys teaching on the history of the Bible, studying other religious beliefs, and writing poetry.

Gina was raised in Sulphur Springs, Texas, and earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University–Commerce.

She married her best friend, Ben, in 2008, and soon after made Commerce her home. Over the years, she has grown to deeply love the community and wonderful people of Commerce.

Gina loves singing and serves in many areas at Heartland. She enjoys time with friends, drinking coffee, and treasure hunting in antique and thrift stores. She also works as an analyst for an employment website.

Pastor Ben and Gina welcomed their daughter, Lydia, in 2014. Lydia is a bright light who loves spending time with friends, basketball, volleyball, and all things creative.
